Reaching out in growing doubt Of the memories you’ve left behind Leave them here to ease your mind Face your fears with a smile Ask them if they’d like to talk awhile Friendly faces are much better Don’t believe what others tell you Follow not what they will sell you Put your faith in us WELCOME Into the Mouth of Madness BLINDNESS Passing with the veil of sadness TYRANTS We deify who crucify us VIOLENTS We reconcile within ourselves At the feast on the altar Comes a beckoning from below Telling us Burn now the Earth Cry for tomorrow What was sacred here is wasted now and hope is gone Burn now the Earth All that I give to you are these words and this flame All that I offer you is a shadow of death And hope is gone

I called your name but you stopped hearing me When you closed shut all of your doors This sweet infected love keeps killing me I cannot shake the feeling that I’ve done this all before And if I wait here I’ll be waiting for your ghost And if I go to sleep I’m scared I’ll dream Fighting fate, fatigue and apathy Broken pieces smeared with glue Hiding hate, love, fear and misery I find impossible to do and so I pass it off to you And if I breathe too deep I’ll surely die alone And as you show me how it’s done I find another song I hear the voices calling my name They grip my soul, they grip my brain This is the worst I’ve ever felt I’m losing you and I’m losing myself Who am I? Where am I from? How did my heart become so numb? I feel a blaze; I'm burning down Gasping for air but learning to drown This is the worst I have ever felt I hear the voices calling my name They grip my soul, they grip my brain This is the worst I’ve ever felt I’m losing you and I’m losing myself Who am I? Where am I from? How did my heart become so numb? I feel ablaze; I'm burning down Gasping for air but learning to drown

White lines on white lines, flashing White lines the dashboard, dashing As you spiral down the road Grip the wheel as you go Turn to turn the radio to a more familiar station This is the anatomy of a car crash This is the road that leads you home This is the anatomy of a car crash passing through your rear view mirror on the road that leads you home Go slow, I don’t know if I’m to blame here This ain’t the road that takes us home You’ve been mixing pills and alcohol Let Satan take the wheel This is the anatomy of a car crash This is the road that leads you home This is the anatomy of a car crash passing through your rear view mirror on the road that leads you home This is the anatomy of a car crash This is the road that leads you home This is the anatomy of a car crash passing through you, crimson pavement is the road that leads you home
4.
Creation is a myth Destruction is what I'm buying Your vacant word was never true And now we fall apart A world against all odds Now suffers evolution We're dying and the gods we pray to won't stay sober You built this gun for what it's worth Now suffer what comes from it's birth And know it fires just for you When you go They'll follow you Into that wretched Golden tomb And their flowers will die And they won't care Set fire to the moon Set fire to the stars Set fire to the Earth When you go They'll follow you Into that wretched Golden tomb When you die Who'll mourn for you? Except those wretched Golden - And their flowers will die And they won't care You built this gun for what it's worth Now suffer what comes from it's birth And know it fires just for you You built this gun for what it's worth Now suffer what comes from it's birth And know it fires just for you When you go They'll follow you Into that wretched Golden tomb When you die Who'll mourn for you? Except those wretched Golden - And their flowers will die And they won't care
5.
What a waste My time and patience here They nearly took the flame from me But I’m still feeling Like there’s a secret chord That I might please the lord And paint this world a different shade Of unappealing How do I say My faith is not in you But in another far away From where I’m steering Sometimes I lie awake Lost in a hopeless state And hoping hope will find a way Of reappearing I’d let you scratch away my scales to show you what I hide I’d scrape my back against your gates to lie there dead inside Give me a moment to alleviate this throbbing ache To speak the words I need to speak before it’s all too late Perhaps the time is gone, perhaps the time is now Perhaps our time is gone, perhaps all time is over now
6.
I press this glass into my eyes so I can better see my scars Each one you’ve cut into this sacred flesh across my heart I can feel this failure I can hear my voice no more I have lived too long and I confess to you I crashed my car into the lake I drank my insides completely rotten Burned myself up at the stake You were the nail in my coffin I fought the rain I couldn’t breathe I swallowed chemicals with wolves that had no names There is no penance here No last charade Set straight the lines and lies you’ve fed and feed me I can feel this failure I have lived too long and I confess to you I crashed my car into the lake I drank my insides completely rotten Burned myself up at the stake You were the nail in my coffin I crashed my car into the lake I drank, I drank, I drank I slit my wrists so I could think You were the nail in my coffin

about

One year ago The Cult Sounds released our debut EP. We really can’t believe it’s already been this long and we cannot begin to express how grateful we are to the people who’ve chosen to listen to us, come see us live, buy a sticker or a shirt, and who continue to support us now during these strange times. The reaction we’ve seen to this collection of songs is greater than we’d ever hoped for, and truly means the world to us all.

We’re incredibly proud of this EP. However, we were never quite happy with our first attempt at DIY production (we didn’t exactly know what we were doing...) Over the course of the past year, it’s safe to say we’ve learned a lot and have gone back to the original raw recordings and entirely Remixed and Remastered them to sound closer to our original vision. You’ll hear more layers of strings and atmospheric synths on “Sixth Day Hallelujah,” extra depth and power to the lead vocals of “At The Mouth Of Madness.” This is the way these songs were meant to be heard.

We’re also including the song “Let Flowers Die (You Never Were)” on this updated version. This song was originally written as a sixth track to the EP but cut at the last minute and later released as a single. So, our gift to those who have supported us so far, on Black Friday - an updated, Remixed/Remastered version of our first EP, the way we always envisioned it. We hope you enjoy it.

We’ll see you all soon.
